Do you struggle with staying organized throughout the day? Whether it’s a work day or the weekend, organization is a great thing to have! But do you ever wonder how to organize your life? Don’t worry, I definitely have, too! Staying organized keeps you motivated, on track and you will feel so productive.

The thought of organizing your life can be daunting, but it’s really not! Keeping your life organized is pretty easy with a few small tasks.

There’s nothing worse than having a crazy day made worse because you aren’t organized! With these tips, you’ll be able to conquer each day and whatever it may bring.

It’s even been shown that being organized can benefit one’s overall physical and mental health.

These are the tips I use to organize my life and stay organized each and every day.

Now let’s jump right in to all the fun ways you can organize your life right now! Taking a steps towards a more organized life will have so many positive benefits in your personal and professional lives!

1. Plan Your Day

It’s easy to stay on track when you’ve got a schedule for your day. Making a plan for your day can help you stay organized, on track and avoid overwhelm. It also makes me feel like I’ve got my life together and organized. I like to start the day by making a plan for the day, including any meetings, priorities, assignments, etc. that need to be done.

This helps me stay on top of all of my responsibilities so nothing gets forgotten or overlooked during the day.

2. Make A To Do List

To-do lists are the perfect way to keep track of everything that you need to get done today. If I don’t write it down, chances are I will forget about it. To-do lists are also great to keep nearby when something comes up and you can quickly jot down a reminder to yourself.

3. Clean Your Space

There are two types of people in the world: those who work in an immaculate space all the time and those who work amongst the clutter. I am the latter. My desk is constantly messy! I just get so busy and don’t have time to keep things neat all the time. But it really does affect how productive you are.

4. Stick To A Budget

Making a budget for yourself will help you stay on track to meet your financial goals and ensure that you don’t get into any money trouble! It’s so easy to make an impulse purchase that you really can’t afford. This can lead to a lot of issues down the line. Creating and sticking to a budget will make things so much easier.

5. Set Goals

Goal planning is a great way to keep your life organized! Write down any goals you have for the day, week, month or year. Then start to devise a plan on how to accomplish these goals. When you have everything laid out, it will keep you motivated and moving towards your goals.

6. Create A Routine

If there’s anything that will help you organize your life the most, it’s making a routine. A daily routine helps you stay on track and productive throughout the day. It’s important to stick to a good routine! When you don’t have a proper routine, it’s easy to become unmotivated and unproductive.

7. Clean Out Your Purse

I admit that I am naturally not an organized person. That is especially true of my purse. Oftentimes, you can find receipts from 6 months ago wadded up at the bottom, and stuff I don’t even remember putting in there. With all that clutter, it can be hard to find what you need.

Every once in a while, clean out your purse and get rid of stuff you don’t need. Your purse will be lighter, but you will also feel more organized and like you have you life together.

8. Make Designated Areas For Things

I personally do this with my keys, phone and purse. That way I don’t have to wonder all over the house saying “Where are my keys??” Dedicate a certain area or spot where these things will live when you’re at home and you will never be late for work again because you couldn’t find your keys.

You can also do this with anything, really. Mail, bills, etc. Just make a spot for them somewhere and that will help you stay organized.

9. Make Your Bed

I only recently started making my bed and I never knew the impact it could have on my motivation! When I make my bed, I instantly feel more accomplished. Plus, when I get home after a long day, it’s so nice to crawl into a nice, made up bed.

It’s such a simple task but makes you feel like you’ve really accomplished something first thing in the morning!

10. Unsubscribe To Emails

If you’re anything like me and only subscribe to a lot of emails to get a coupon or free product, you probably have tons of emails that you never regularly look at. Before I started unsubscribing to those email lists, I was getting hundreds of emails a day that I never looked at and just deleted.

Every few months I will go through my emails and unsubscribe to the ones that I don’t care about. Doing so keeps your inbox more organized and you don’t have to take the time to delete, delete, delete.


These organization tips I have implemented in my life the past few months and they have made a huge difference for me! Getting organized doesn’t have to be a huge task that’s time consuming and frustrating.
